ST-AKW: A Photographic Farewell

An Azza Air Transport 707-300C, operating for Sudan Airways, crashed on take off today.
The aircraft bearing registration ST-AKW was first delivered as a passenger aircraft to Lufthansa in February 1969 and was the 788th 707 made off the Boeing line ( cn 20123/788 ).
During its tenure, it served with a number of carriers including Condor and Nile Air Safaris and began its life as a freighter with Azza Air Transport. Airline Industry Review pays a photographic farewell to this hard worked old bird.

A6-DPA Boeing 707
She had a short time with United Arab Emirates as A6-DPA, probably for the government. Photo Eduard Marmet.

Nile Safaris Boeing 707
Going as far as Hong Kong was nothing new for her. Seen under the Sudanese registration ST-AKW for the first time. Wearing Nile Safaris colours as a passenger version.
