  • US regional carrier Trans States Airlines has placed orders for 50 firm Mitsubishi MRJ aircraft and 50 options. It is said to be interested in all three variants.

    China Airlines will change its Rome route from TPE-BKK-FCO to TPE-DEL-FCO . It will fly an A330-300 thrice weekly on this route. Service begins on 1st Dec 2009.

    Lufthansa will place its code on selected jetBlue flights from 11th Nov onwards.

    SriLankan Airlines will increase flights to Hong Kong to 4 times weekly, Dammam to 4 times weekly, Tiruchirapally to 10 weekly and Chennai to 15 weekly from onset of Winter.

    Malaysia Airlines has reiterated that it will take delivery of its Boeing 737-800s and Airbus A380s as planned, from 4Q 2010 and 1Q 2011. It will be the world’s second airline to operate 737s with the new Sky interior.

    Frontier Airlines has officially exit Chapter 11 on 1st Oct as a subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings .

    JetStar Airways has opted for the 238t Higher Gross Weight version of Airbus A330-200 for its deliveries from November 2010 .

    Bank of America, a key aviation related bank, reported a Q2 profit of $3.2B and announced the leaving of CEO Kenneth D. Lewis
